If you were not already aware the 2nd of February is World Tutu Day.  In honour of this auspicious occasion I have decided that I can wait no longer and I will be launching the site prior to when I had planned.

You will notice over the coming days and weeks that the portfolio and posts area of this site will be filled with news, information and images.  Sadly, stock items for sale will have to continue to remain empty until the arrival of some new labels.  Please if you would like to know what we currently have in stock or for any other information use our email address at info@coalfacecostumes.co.uk.

And so I introduce you to my tutu for today, T16/01.  This tutu is our current Coalface Costumes Ambassador.  Made in forest two tone shot taffeta with a white and teal shot skirt and silver, white, forest and teal decorations this 14″ English style tutu is strong enough for a senior dancer while still retaining a beautiful level of classism.

Bodice: 8 piece English style non stretch in forest shot taffeta, bust 33-34″, cup size C, waist 26-27″, back length 15.5″.  Decoration from upper right of bodice to left hip at skirt including white lace, silver braid, forest/teal silk flowers and specialist paints.  Silver braid continues round top edge of bodice.  Hook and eye closure with up to 4″ girth growth room.

Basque: Non stretch in forest shot taffeta, waist 26-27″, upper hip 32-33″, waist to upper hip 3-3.5″. Continuation of decoration. Hook and eye closure with up to 4″ girth growth room.

Tutu: Non stretch white hooped 14″ skirt machine tacked into the English style, upper hip 32-33″, bottom 38-39″, half girth 28-30″. Completion of decoration on the skirt.  Decoration includes a partial integral layer of teal coloured net. Individual hooks and eyes with no growth room.

Care: Store flat in a breathable cover.  Spot stain remove only.
