Covid…

Hi all,

Yes I know we have been quite.  Our support network which has allowed me space away from caring and back to working revolves around people and support groups.  All of these dropped away pretty much during the first weeks of March, leaving me with only 6 hours a week away from the child.  In July I gained a few more hours but it still wasn’t easy – especially as this coincided with our daughter needing another emergency surgery.

However, the world and I are starting to understand our new normal.  I have tried to spend this time building up my stretch stash for the moment festivals, shows and comps start to re-appear, as many dancers who did have tutus suddenly find they no longer do or want one with lots of scope as a just in case measure before we do start up again.  I have had some success.

I am also about to run up a few leos and possible costumes in lycra as I have spotted a new lycra supplier who specialises in short run designs.  If you are interested in this please email me with a size/design idea and I will see if I can make it work.  If nothing else these would make great Xmas gifts for dancers.

I leave you with a photo of some of the hand work I am on for my current project.  It’s design lead is “baby Paquita”.  I will show off the complete design when we are done.
